Bruce Challoner has extensive background, knowledge and expertise in understanding people and knowing what makes them tick, with a national and international profile as a seminar speaker. Bruce helps people understand one another. His counselling has specialised in marriage and family issues, as well as stress, grief and trauma. Before becoming a consultant to businesses, Bruce was National Manager of Education and Training at Focus on the Family Australia. Bruce wrote many new seminar programs, and developed training packages for business and community services, including Basic Counselling Skills; How To Lead a Group; Understanding Personality; Grief Management; Handling Stress and Beating Depression. He was a communications consultant for companies around Australia on a range of personal management issues, such as Change Management, Team Building, Customer Relationships, Mediation, Emotional Intelligence and Personnel Communication Strategies for both management and their staff. He was the President of the Lara RSL Sub Branch (2015-2018). Prior, he served in various positions within the RSL – Curator, Vice President and Senior Vice President. Presently he remains the Curator. Married to Margaret (counsellor in woman’s issues – trauma & abuse), and they have two children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Theme: “Habits, Good or Bad”

Speaker: Rob Meates. 

Rob is a consultant in personal and group development, specialising in experiential learning for high performance, and running courses in Bush Navigation and Survival. Rob spent 21 years in the Australian Army Reserve, mostly as a member of a Special Forces unit, rising to the rank of Captain. His AAR skills included parachuting, small craft handling, canoeing, abseiling, survival skills, underwater demolitions, unarmed combat and bushcraft.

Rob managed the Sabeto Valley Life Skills Centre in Fiji, and has spoken in seminars in Singapore, Philippines, Myanmar and India.
