DEPENDABILITY vs INCONSISTENCY
Dependability is one of those vital characteristics that make us men. Many are good at being dependable, having removed the excuses for inconsistency. Whether we are dependable (Reliable, predictable) or inconsistent (Unreliable, never get asked to help), our name precedes us.
Dependability is defined as this: FULFILLING what I consented to do, even if it means UNEXPECTED sacrifice.
As an example of inconsistency, Inconsistent people prefer not to sacrifice time, energy, or whatever is needed to help. Sometimes they’ll volunteer for a task only to withdraw unexpectedly.
Prov 25.19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
This is where the relationship is affected. Eventually, we have no confidence in an inconsistent person when we need help.
